MAKING MYTH
THROUGH MOVEMENT
I often like to think of myself as a great and poetic writer, but in truth I am really much more of a mover. As a young girl I would ride my powder blue ten-speed over hill and dale. I found hills or small mountains to climb, as a ritual I would ascend to find the one secluded place. I would sit down in my secret place until all that I could see was sky and plants. I daydreamed about fairies and devas and communicated with the spirit world.
I lived in Oahu for three years as a young girl. I rode my bike all over and played with my mean friends in our pretend apartment in the hills overlooking the housing division called Mokokilo. It was a balmy summer afternoon when I arrived home and saw my parents were having a gathering. I, a child was happy and joyful, full of life with the smell of nature and the wind in my hair. When I saw them and heard them speak I saw that they were angry and unhappy. I could not contain their suffering. In that moment I decided I would never become like them. I saw and knew that I shall remain like a child and feel and see the wander all around me. I was born into life an identity and in an instant I was recreated anew. I had become a mythmaker.
I Dawn Kubart am a Myth Maker, I became a mythmaker by spending my entire life creating myself that way, I became the woman I wanted to be. A mythmaker is someone who has awakened to the pulsations of life and is able to read the signs in their environment. Mythmakers hear the deep inner yearning of their heart. Someone who is able to shed the belief systems of the masses to create a life of their own design. Someone who faces challenges and looks for signs and uses the Elements of a mythmaker uncovers, discovers and promotes growth and transformation. I am what I am because I believe myself to be that way. What is reality but a material out picturing our own consciousness? Since the age of 12, I catapulted myself through the realms of the unknown. I jumped to the other side of the fence and was able to perceive that which I had not formerly known. This is what is called Conscious Creation. To bring oneself on board to not only your own life but to bring yourself on board to all life. In the Reality of our True Self, is a state of consciously experience oneself as all things manifest and unmanifest. I am all that is, Thus the Statement, Ō I am thatĶ. That which is, I am that also. In our expanded state of Consciousness we can be the witness to and the operator thus conscious creator. So in short, I am life and that which is outside of me is also life. I am a god being creating my life in partnership with all life for the enhancement of all life, which also includes me. The mythmaker has awoken from the dream and is in partnership with the outer life as the inner life dictates from the standpoint of, what is life enhancing.
Making Myth through Movement in Short is a teaching restructured into a working modality geared at awakening the parts of the body-mind that are still asleep. These parts of our body and mind are density, blocked and unconscious parts that drag us down and steal life force along with inspiration, health and beauty. It works in the realm of the large self and catapults awakening into what ever is the most important thing at that time. It could be virtually anything. The improvisational theatre that is Making Myth is created out of parts of our day. These parts are viewed and interpreted like you would a dream, the clues lead you on a journey through the movement of your body. The play shop takes you out of linear time and into a state of not only focused awareness and non-cognitive learning as well as bringing awareness to what is most important in the moment and uncovers the blocks that prevent you from living a life you love with unfettered power and wholeness.
How can I not be happy when I look at life? It is like sweet nectar running through my veins. I am moved to such heights of passion, it is as if life itself were speaking to me. I dance to the rhythm of the waves and the soft caress of the clouds. The Mother Goddess has opened up a piece of heaven on which my sacred dance floor is illuminated with not only light but also the frequency and emotions of Life. I am in ecstasy as I watch all life around me. Join me in my ecstatic movement of joy and rise to an epiphany of its cool power. Watch life surge through your veins, see the power unfold. How far can you stretch your yearning and ultimate caress of itÕs body. Air, wind, clouds, ocean, rain, trees, plants, flowers, birds, fish, shells, dolphins, whales, ships, surfers, animals, children, people. How can I contain it all without expanding my boundaries? Larger and larger I become and as I contain life, it feeds me with its symphony of beauty and diversity. Ask me now, how can I not be happy.

I will be talking about The Play shop in this section. There
are 5 Elements and areas of context. Each area lives like a backdrop to all of
the improvisations along with the inquiries and sharing. They are Myth, Emotion, Passion, Movement and Clue.
Myth, The play shop theatre is about pretending that your life is a myth. All myths share certain components such as an epic quality and a larger than life greatness. Myths are played out in the realms of gods and goddesses with mythical and often magical creatures. Myths also have a quality of a journey, such as The Mythic Journeys to oneself. Gods and Goddesses are usually not without ego. In myth making we use the egos materials as the script. The way to participate is in an expanded state of awareness, which is gained through the expanding exercise in the beginning, bring a point of awareness back to the room and remain focused and directed while including all the people and things in the room.
Emotion, is seen as the driving force behind your movements and also in the interpretation of your dream myth. There are two types of emotions in life, one is love and the other is fear. Emotions which are based on the new laws of our ascended cosmos and planet are many and always of a life enhancing nature. Emotions that are fear based are clues to a block and density. Through using our body to act out the feelings and events one must bring focus of mind to integrate all the information coming in and interpret it bodily. Accessing this much focus and attention pulls one out of linear time and into present moment awareness. Emotion is life, the body is static until the wave of emotions washes over it and cause it to move. Do not only move your body in different shapes or play out every day events such as walking and eating, make each part of your body and movement be driven from feeling and emotion. The way to participate using the context of emotion is to show the feeling in all your movements and expressions in each improve.
Passion, is also seen as a driving force and as inspiration for an expanded life. To live without passion is not living but existing. Great lives are born of great passion. The play shop itself causes one to feel passion and to sustain it over time. The play shop uncovers what deep desires are floating to the surface to be discovered, uncovered and promoted. The act of myth making is a passionate one as you can only expect to get out of it to the degree to are able to play full out. To get from A to Z you have to go through the entire alphabet, in other words you have to be about doing the work and what it will take to step onto the stage and play not knowing the outcome. The way to participate using the element of passion is to keep bringing yourself to the table, bring attention to what is happening to not only yourself but those around you. Whenever you feel yourself wandering pull yourself back. It takes deep inquiry and a real desire to uncover what life is saying for the magic to happen.
Movement, is the outward expression of the fullness of all life and its immense diversity. Moving in itself could become itÕs own religious and is an integral part of Myth Making. The entire need of this class and not to just disseminate more information, but to create a modality for each individual participating to create their own modality for living. Power and strength come from movement through space, like a cyclist riding a large hill to reach the crest. The mythmaker must also move and explore his and her surroundings and find the clues to gaining strength. The more strength and power one builds the greater his ability to access life. The way to participate with the element of movement is to explore all the ways each part of your body moves. What shapes it can create. Work with ways of moving such as heavy to light high to low, and large to small. Pay attention to the others and the way they move, follow someone elseÕs movement and try it on yourself. Move one foot and allow the rest of the body to be still doing this with each part. Explore manipulate and expand your movement vocabulary.
Clue, pay attention follow direction, do not try to interpret the directions. Listen and try each improve, inquiry and sharing as a great uncovering. The clues all lead to the Sacred Chalice of the Nectar of Life. As you enter the chamber of the Oracle in her Sacred Temple, clues are uncovered from beginning to end. The way to participate using clues, is to be careful not to categorize myth making like something else you did or know. This is new; it is not like anything else before it. Your are a mythic God and Goddess on the Sacred journey to uncover, discover and promote the Nectar of Life.
You will write out an event or event from the prior 24 hour period and interpret it like you would a dream to find core clues. The improves bring to the surface that which the mind has held in the deeper recesses of consciousness. The mind prompts by inquiry and questioning and the body tells its story non-cognitively. Critiquing of participants movements by other participants leads again to surfacing awarenessÕs.
Sometimes an epiphany is mind blowing, other time it is a thread leading to a vine leading to branch and over time leading to the tree itself. All uncovering are valid and all lead to awakening. This is a sacred journey and the only point of arrival is the one you are living right now.
Addressing the needs of the class,
The workshop may contain all of these elements or parts, depending on the time frame available.
Gather in the space created for the class. Sit in a large circle far enough back that gives each player room, but close enough to be intimate. Keep conversation to a minimum except when sharing with the group. Stretch out, do yoga or whatever brings energy, flexibility and warmth to each body part. Music will be playing in the background.

Several group improves geared to gain focus attention, group mind and promote deep and creative inquiry.
Discussion, each player identifies what is so and what is the most important thing to discover, uncover and promote. Write it down on individual notebook.
Think back to 24 hours from present time, and begin to scan the day slow movement, inverted and distant daydreaming. Move your body and begin to act out the event you are in. This can be either floating and non descript movements to acting out the actions to completely abstracting and using conceptual movements. Follow the direction of the improve designed for this.
Sit in a quiet space after song and write down the one section or event that seems to come to the forefront as other sections of timer will resede.
Begin by writing I woke up into my dream, Then jot down the event of the day or section of the day like you are recording a dream you had. Read through the event several times and then begin to allow clues to arise like interpreting dream events. Look for word combinations that pop. What is the theme of the event? What is the feeling? The following example of a dream event was a young girl who wanted to know why she never felt like she was in her life. She said I think this life seems good and I am cool and all that, but I donÕt feel confident and I am searching.
Her dream event went like this.
ŌI woke up into my dream, where it was the same as I always
see my bed , my dresser, my closet, my hats placed in the same spot nothing had
changed. This is life for me itÕs what I already know, but have to strive to
see and know more than I think is possible. I canÕt make dinner, itÕs
not something I would think I enjoy doing , but isnÕt that just fear telling you that you donÕt like
something fear that tells you something is ordinary or not of the
norm. IÕm breaking free from fear!! Fear cannot take me. I will make this dinner and I did make
it and guess what it was really good. What does making other people happy seem
like a chore to some. I am
breaking free of that as well.
As a note this young womanÕs environment had changed
dramatically over the last year during which time she lived a home while it was
rebuilt from the ground up. Her perception was stuck while all life changed
around her. She saw the need to break out of this mundane sameness as shows in
her underlining the word , possible, she wanted to know what is possible
for her in this life. These are deep inquiries which must be faced and looked
into for one to live an empowered life. She underlined the word fear 4x which points to
this being the central theme of this dream event it is affecting her on all
levels of body, mind and spirit, the fourth is outside the framework of the
others and shows her becoming aware of her fear and stating , I will conquer
this.
The main clue is fear on on levels of body mind and spirit,
followed by a need to create possibility.
She needs to break out of looking at her life and responding by saying ,
this is wrong. In other words life is speaking to her and she is not answering
the call, all she sees is sameness along with accompanying dullness and
restlessness. The third clue was a sacred goddess wheel she chose at the
beginning of class called Ō Incorporated PowerĶ.( Note; the wheels and new laws

The result of this beautiful young goddess, she shared that
she saw how she was interesting and different and that she really liked the way
she moved and saw where she did have real talents. In the following weeks she continued to show more personal
style and her out ward appearance changed to a very beautiful one with her
interesting hairdos and makeup and clothing. She reported feeling more
confident and excited about her life.
The remaining improves are geared to work through the clues and find the underlying oracle and truth. Integrating different modalities such as dance, writing inquiry and sharing solidify and create permanence of new perceptions. It is like Paragliding over the beautiful and majestics cliffs over looking MauiÕs shoreline. The experience becomes now part and parcel of each forward movement after that.
Making Myth through movement is an ongoing ritual in its many forms. In other words it is not a one time deal. You may continue taking classes as often as they are held.
The larger scope of Making Myth Through Movement is about creating a new paradigm for operating in our individual lives and within a community along with restructuring how goods and services are exchanged. When we become more conscious it is a natural evolution towards bettering life for others, not just yourself and family. We all must become ever increasingly authentic in order to regain our natural state of being. In the Garden of Eden, natural man and woman live without artifices. Lying and cheating are a distant memory and each moment is lived in the upliftment of life.
A note about this work, it is not an easy task to show up fully in life and be all you can be. We must all begin a banding of togetherness help and strength so we can all shine. In a newly created.
