Kali The Destroyer

Kali the Destroyer is an awful bitch; she’ll rip your head off and then chew on it raw.  She cares nothing for morals and has no respect for Tradition.  She hates her oppressor with vehemence. Kali is the sacred creator of new life.  After her destruction new space acts as a receptacle for new life.  In all relationships and circumstances after a certain amount of time the mythology of Kali will arise.  This is necessary for the Goddess to have new life spring forth.  This sacred destruction happens everywhere in all things and events.  We must honor respect and stand in terrible awe of this great force of destruction in our lives.

Kali’s hidden world, this black fiery abyss is the final stage before the ending of what was.  We all must and do walk this path, if we close our eyes stumbling on the brittle shards of cooled lava, there is no end to the falling down.  This type of plunge has us grasping desperately for a way out and quickly.  When we are in this desperate state we are vulnerable and open to all sorts of pathways, all ending to further destruction. Tumble with your eyes open, see yourself in fields of lava, and watch all of the crazy frightening wildness of Kali as she takes over this domain.  Dive deeper in; take your experience through to completion.  Recognize what has happened.  Ask yourself,” where was I?”  “Where was I engaging my time and my energy?”  “Was I living in alignment with the agreement that I had with myself?”  In other words if you have a vision for your life and you are not living it, something needs to shift in order to bring yourself in alignment with what you know yourself to be on a deep level.  If you do not have a vision of how you see yourself in your life and your relationship to it, begin to inform yourself in ways to bring it about.  I am not talking about goals, although they will naturally occur in this context.  I am talking about how do you see yourself moving through life, how do you feel, what type of clothing and hairstyle brings you joy, what type of home, what work and ways of spending your time as you conjure them up in your mind, bring you unending joy.

When the Goddess Kali visits neither you nor your oppressor or the circumstances are wrong.  Everyone and everything is right. This is the realm of the great myth, the realm of the Goddess. This realm is not imaginary it is Real.  When we begin to believe in ourselves and our dreams life adapts to us not the other way around. As we relax in the awareness of knowing which way we are being led authentically by the Real Self we can be ourselves.  Being ourselves is the beginning of real joy as we are enjoying our natural state.  This is the process of bringing ourselves in alignment with our Self.
In the realm of the Goddess everything dances, the white foamy curl of a warm luscious ocean delights as much as the warm foamy milk on top of a latte.  Life is sweet and sometimes it’s not.  Sometimes a well thought out request not only goes unheard but is tempered by a cutting indignation.  In the world of myth, it is all a story to inform us on our sacred journey.

We live in this world, and we program ourselves with all sorts of beliefs thoughts and opinions. We all do this and it cannot be helped, it is part of the software of the dream and it certainly doesn’t help to deny that this is happening, that’s what got us in this mess to begin with.  Your authentic Self is not interested in these thngs. The Real you operates in an entirely different realm. Once we begin to wake up to the fact that our thoughts and opinions and our very belief system is made up, it’s all a story and not a very likely one.  Then and only then can real choice and dominion in life take place.

The Winds of Change

Wendy sat on the back porch at dusk; she stared in to the quickly dimming environment and became frightened.  A deep psychic pain hit her below her breast. She could feel her primordial fear of death take over.  Normally she would leave where she was sitting and call someone, eat some chips or turn on the television to drown out this confrontation with the destruction she felt.  This time it was different she sat and began to sink deeper in this abyss, thoughts came and went but mostly she was confronting her absolute terror of death.  She watched as her mind tried to find ways out of this, she tried to deny it, she told herself it’s o.k. And she knew there was no way out. She finally accepted and faced it, I am fucking scared to death of death and it is literally choking my ability to live.
The wind blew and a white owl with dark eyes flew over and then disappeared into the now dark surroundings.  She began to walk still feeling the heavy fear of death as her companion.  She saw with eyes of pain and regret she saw the disarray around her and life moved her forward.
Weeks passed and life appeared in many ways the same, except for her growing ability to see clearly and know.  Something happened that night. Just the right angle a moment when one opens up just enough to allow another realm to take up residence, Wendy had entered the realm of the goddess.
