Teaching Preschool Ages 3.5 to 5 years old

I currently have 25 units in Early Child Development and hope to receive a certificate as a Preschool Teacher by the end of 2012. I am envisioning a position in a school that is supported by the government and uses Play and its main method for teaching children. I am envisioning a school that has an abundance of tools, toys and supplies on hand to implement a rich program and a large and adventurous outdoor play area.  I am envisioning a staff and administration that has meetings to ensure that each one of us is self sufficient in maintaining high standards and a being a positive team player. Each one of us has an important and integral role in each child and family including our own sense of self and our impact. I am envisioning a lead teacher role with good pay and benefits. To work mon through friday with weekends and holiday off. I would like an afternoon teaching position, working from 12 to 6 pm.

What I have to offer is a strength of character and an ability to work well with children and their families. I look for solutions and do not focus or exacerbate problems. I have good communication skills and care about each person regardless of their position. I have many abilities that I will bring to the school I work in. I am enthusiast and innovative, I can create project and activities and problem solve quickly and seamlessly. I am an artist and can teach art and develop innovative and fun are activities. I am a dancer and can teach a rich music and movement program that can parallel the best program out there. I am intuitive and can understand the needs that are in my environment from the children and their families to maintaining a safe and clean environment for all.

Young Artist Apprenticeship

A six week apprenticeship for young children age 8 to 12. Saturdays from 11 to 12:30 p.m.
